Backflow Devices also known as cross connection control devices. They require annual testing to ensure they are operating correctly. These devices are required to protect drinking water and can be found internally or as a Premise Isolating device. The internal devices can be found in applications such as Irrigation Systems, Water Treatment Systems, Boiler System, Chilled Water Systems, Cooling Tower Make Up, Fire Suppression. The premise isolating devices at the water supply for a Condo or Commercial Property can be found on Irrigation and Domestic water systems. Premise isolating devices protect the City water supply from possible contamination.
No Matter the size of your boiler we can help you with demand repairs as well as annual service to ensure safe and comfortable operation. Regardless of if you require an annual service on a residential boiler or if your heating plant needs to be inspected for maintaining an ABSA certification. We inspect and ensure accuracy of all safety and operating controls, verify and correct air and gas pressures, and complete a combustion analysis to show how efficiently your burner is operating. In addition to Natural Gas Burners we also Service Propane and Oil Fired Burners.
Prior to Heating Season its always a good idea to inspect your exchanger to avoid potential issues in lower ambient temperatures. We provide these services to Residential Furnaces, Rooftop Units, Make Up Airs when the Concern is Carbon Monoxide. We also inspect Boiler heat exchangers when a leak can enter the combustion chamber and adversely affect combustion. We also service Plate Fluid Exchangers on Hydronic Heating, Snowmelt, or Chilled Water Systems.
When cooling season starts we can service your cooling system to ensure problems are addressed early in the season. We preform Condenser and Evaporator cleaning on all cooling equipment. Regardless if it’s a Residential Split System, Rooftop Unit, Make Up Air, DX or Glycol Dry Cooler or a Air Cooled Chiller we can take care of your needs
Our Comprehensive Furnace inspections are more than a filter change and a exchanger inspection. We review the gas pressures, take readings on ignition components like thermocouples, flame rods and hot surface igniters. If they are operating at the lower end of the effective range we replace them. We also check the amp draw of components like the inducer motor and blower motor to determine if they are starting to develop issues with sealed components like bearing assemblies. All checks come with a inspection of the humidifier, thermostat and flushing of the condensate drains.
Water heaters require periodic maintenance as well, residential on demand systems require a yearly descaling and burner inspection and commercial water heaters should have the burners, flue passage, draft inspected, as well as a drain and flush of the tank to remove excess calcium which can lead to tank failure. If you are not sure how to tell if you have a buildup in your tank? Just listen for a popping sound when the burner is running or has just completed a cycle.
In older buildings air compressors are the heart of your pneumatic controls system. Air compressors draw air from the room they are located in which can sometimes be dusty causing air filters to plug up. Just like in a car the oil should be changed periodically to avoid breakdown or cause failure to the rings and cause loss of compression and excessive oil blow by. There are a number of filters that remove oil and moisture and require media changes. The last component of the compressed air system is the Drier. Compressed Air Driers utilize a small refrigerant circuit that cools the air lowers the dew point to remove the moisture from it to prevent pneumatic controls components from seizing up.
At Alpenglow we ensure that we keep environmental impact in mind. We strictly follow HRAI standards for refrigerant leak detection, reporting, recovery, and disposal. We also ensure all water treatment chemicals, oils, and mercury filled devices are disposed of properly. We also ensure that waste is kept to a minimum from the pre-job planning stages.
At Alpenglow safety is a priority, that’s why we have stringent safety standards. We follow the standards of COR and ESC as well as maintaining all relevant Safety Documentation and Certifications.
